I know this legit sounds like I'm crazy but I have done this before in the past with my old laptops where I drain its battery to ~40% then leave it in the refrigerator and they've all done fine when I took them out with a large majority of the cells still functional after 4-5 yrs! Couldn't be able to say the same if it was plugged in at 100% the whole time.Įdit: Just realized this is a lipo battery. I want to extend the life of the battery for that. The only reason I am asking this is because I am using this as a desktop replacement and it's going to be plugged in 99.8% of the time, so there's no need to leave the battery in there.
